Just before stopped for a night in Argegno and started driving in the morning to the north direction. I visited villa on my way around the Como lake.
In June heat we obviously chose the 20 min one. Also, 2 options: a 20 mim and 40 min walk to the villa.
We had a car and parked in lenno on a main street, silly us didnt read a sign further down the road that we could drive the car to the start of the mini hike. For us this was a highlight and the photos came out exceptionally well! I wanted to stay here forever. You can pay extra for a guided tour of the interior, but the thought of being lumped with other people is a no-no. But once inside the gardens the tourists fade away and you focus on one of the top of the top locations in lake como. Loads of people at the entrance asking silly questions. I was with my 9 year old son and granny, and we were all left speechless at the beauty of this place.
I almost forgot to visit this, so we set out late one morning after realising that it was a 'must do', not a good idea going late because you have a 20 minute climb in the summer heat.
